What is the Paris Biofoundry?

The Paris Biofoundry is a pioneering research platform that unites the expertise and cutting-edge technology of several prestigious institutions in the Île-de-France region, including Sorbonne Université, Université Paris Cité and Université Paris-Saclay, the Institut Micalis and Institut Curie, the Genopole cluster, and the CNRS, INSERM and INRAE institutions. The Paris Biofoundry associates several sites in the Paris Metropolitan area bringing their own experience and expertise: the Alliance Sorbonne Université Biofoundry at Sorbonne Université, the Biophenics platform at institut Curie, the Cell-free biofoundry and the Galaxy-SynBioCAD platform at institut Micalis and the Gate^x biofoundry at Genopole. 

The Paris Biofoundry is funded by the Île-de-France region through two distinct grants: the DIM Bioconvergence pour la santé and the Sésame Filière project which is funding the current call for scientific projects.
